20A steel pipe for diesel engine is made by seamless cold drawn process.

Steel is using electric furnace or Oxygen converter smelting.

Delivery condition:

Cold drawn + Heat treatment

Quality assurance:

Cold upsetting test:

Specimen upsetting to specified length (generally length 1/2 or 1/3, 2/5 of the original)and then check the specimen surface crack defects .to see whether the upsetting performance of metal material is qualified

After the cold upsetting 1/2 sample as the original sample height.

There is no cracks and fracture on the samples after upsetting.

Hydraulic Test:

As per customer`s requirements.

To check the tubes whether it is leakage or abnormal deformation. ,check

macroscopic strength and load capacity under the safe operation with designed pressure.
